BDCE were engaged to carry out extensive alteration works to the existing multi store building including removal of plant rooms and complete demolition of reinforced concrete roof slab (1800 m2) with design and installation of all associated temporary works . We also designed and installed 45 tonnes of prefabricated temporary steelwork to allow a large area of reinforced concrete FFL slab and support columns to be removed. In addition we demolished the existing RC staircase from basement to roof level.Demolition works took place in an extremely busy city centre location with the Hilton Hotel on one side and an apartment block on the other.
