Distillery Building



 

BDCE were engaged as PSCS in the demolition of existing three storey over basement building situated in busy city centre location within two metres of live LUAS infrastructure. Works involved service terminations, asbestos removals, design and installation of temporary works, installation of scaffolding and full structural demolition including perimeter basement walls. All works close to LUAS infrastructure were carried out following close liaison between BDCE and Transdev representatives and under their permit system . Demolition consisted of careful hand demolition , salvaging , numbering and storage of existing stonework for re-use on the new-build. Structural demolition was carried out using a combination of brokk and mechanical demolition. Following demolition of superstructure BDCE successfully removed the basement walls which abutted the public footpath
