BDCE were engaged to carry out complete demolition of landmark 12 storey over basement office block in Dublin city centre.The structure was in an extremely busy and sensitive location surrounded by roadways on all sides and with the nearest residential properties just six metres away from the base of the building.BDCE contract works included soft strip, asbestos, removal, scaffolding, hoist installation,temporary works and complete structural demolition. Initial soft strip was carried whilst the 7th & 8th floors remained as fully functioning offices which required extremely careful planning to ensure public safety was not compromised.Demolition consisted of a combination of robotic work down of upper floors together with high reach works once the top floors were sufficiently reduced in height. Following on from the demolitions BDCE were then engaged to carry out the bulk excavation for the new build
